Data Deletion Instructions
Last updated: August 19, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of your Photognome account and personal data, including data connected to Meta/Facebook or Instagram sign-in. These instructions are provided as a standalone page for social sign-in app review and for all Photognome users.
How to request deletion
Email privacy@photognome.org from the email address associated with your Photognome account and include the subject line Photognome Data Deletion Request.
If you used Facebook Login, Instagram Login, or another Meta sign-in feature, please include the name or email address associated with that sign-in connection if it is different from your Photognome email address.
What happens next
- We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing the request.
- After verification, we will delete or de-identify personal data that is no longer needed to provide the service.
- We will disconnect linked social sign-in identifiers where technically available.
- We may retain limited information when needed to protect users, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, enforce agreements, or meet legal, tax, accounting, safety, and recordkeeping obligations.
- Some backups and security logs may be retained for a limited period before automatic deletion.
Removing Photognome from Meta apps
You can also remove Photognome through your Facebook or Instagram app settings. Removing Photognome from Meta stops future social sign-in access through that provider, but it may not automatically delete your Photognome account. To delete your Photognome account and personal data, send the deletion request email described above.
